C.N. 002 was painted in Army colors in June/July 1987 in Springfield Texas. It was then flown to Hawaii from Springfield via Seattle, Anchorage, Adak, Midway, arriving at Oahu (Wheeler Air Force Base) August, 1987. Air Tech Services, part of the DOD, flew 002 prior to Pacific Command owning it. The controlling agency for 002 was the U.S. Army Aviation Center. They controlled the registration, monitored the aircraft hours, parts and determined cost effectiveness of the wing root corrosion resulting in salvage. The last flight was in November 1990. 002 was sunk in the Pacific north of Oahu as an artificial reef still in Army colors.

Destroyed
Was submerged as an artificial reef north of Oahu Hawaii. Reports indicate strong underwater currents and recent storms would have by now resulted in the destruction of the aircraft.
